Since finishing my second year of University for the Summer, it's been great to have the time to do exactly what I want and visit the places that I've been meaning to go to for months. I'm lucky enough to live down the road from The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester and with such a variety of contemporary work, including a current exhibition by Cornelia Parker, it's a beautiful place to spend an afternoon getting lost in.
(The café isn't half bad either, so allow time for a delish leisurely lunch or afternoon tea...I'd recommend the chocolate tarts!!)

I really can't get enough of this place; all the work is sooo dreamy and wonderful! Since reopening earlier this year, after it's £15 million refurbishment, the gallery has been named North West Building of the Year at a top architectural ceremony, and is shortlisted as a Finalist in the ArtFund Museum of the Year Awards!
If you're interested in more information
this is their website; go exploring, I promise you'll love it!
